Saying Goodbye

My grandmother passed away peacefully this evening around 5pm. She was 93 years old, and lived an incredibly fulfilling life…

Even though she had been slipping away gradually over the last few months… well, I guess you’re never truly prepared to lose someone that you love.

I’m grateful for the last two years that we had together… the laughs, long talks and the good meals. She was a good woman, and very much an inspiration to me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know very well how much your grandmother meant to you and how her strong example was such an inspiration and a comfort to you. I know that she is surely proud of her granddaughter

I'm sure her passing was in the company of those who loved her. She is no doubt enjoying her well-deserved reward.

God bless you and yours and watch over you.

Lynn,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much she meant to you, and I hope that you and your family are doing well. I lost my grandmother in February, and I was also extremely close with her. It's a difficult time, but she is with you in many ways even though she is not physically here. You had a special relationship, and that relationship never really ends. Take care of yourself and your family and please let us know on the board if we can do anything at all for you.

Grandmas are so special, aren't they? Thank you for sharing her with all of us for so long here and on your forums. It was a gift you gave, having her with you and so involved in your kids lives, too.

I'm so very sad for you right now.

Take care of yourself, Lynn

Lynn, I am so so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I am grateful that you let us share in your experiences with her over the past year. I could feel your love for her as strongly as if I knew her. She was fortunate to have you and your family be such a big part of her last years and I'm sure you made them much happier than they would have otherwise been. I'm sending a virtual hug your way.
